I was watching the movie "Gandi"
and he said something about poverty that really struck me...
"poverty is the worst form of violence"
But in my mind I thought..
"poverty is the worst form of war"
it's like being in a hole and never being able to climb out,
only if someone sends down a ladder and if you are strong enough
you might climb out, if its a rope ladder you start to wobble all
over the place, sometime you miss a bar and fall or almost do so.
You have to keep the hope that you will reach the the top and
climb out but it seems so far away, is it worth the effort.
It's sometimes easier to stay in the hole, holding your knees,
closing your eyes and fading into nothingness.
But human nature makes you keep plugging away regardless if
it's worth it or not.
Do we really know what poverty is,
there are some people who, as to the things of the world the world are astoundingly rich but really very poor in the things that matter most.
