Ya i agree
Today I had a child ask
What's a cemetary for?
That is a hard one to answer
Especially to a little child
Without scaring them.
I explained as best i could.
The next one was
How does a baby get in
A momas belly
Jim in Ballistic Missile Scare.

The parent would know." No, they don't" was the answer Oooh now i had to b really careful "Its all about science" I said Then i remembered the song That goes "Let me tell u bout the birds And the bees and the flowers And the trees and the moon up Above...... Very timely for Feb
Re: Jim in Ballistic Missile Scare. We have a mother and baby shop here called Mothercare so i tell them they come from there, that there's a catalogue that parents can go and look through, before placing their orders and it takes 9 months to get them and they're non returnable......lol.......
Professionally i do tell them to ask their parents but it's always fun teasing the older ones with the Mothercare gag, we usually end up laughing. Fluffy
Re: Jim in Ballistic Missile Scare.i recall i visit to one school where the minister was the most miserable old devil... ......he was supposed to be talking about Christmas and instead he started banging on about what happens to the body when you get cremated. We had nursery kids sitting wide eyed as he prattled on about bodies being burned in a furnace. I again started bobbing up and down as i stifled hysterical laughter, i almost fell of my chair then too.
Little kids don't need to know the details, they just need to know they're safe and loved. Fluffy
Re: Jim in Ballistic Missile Scare.Yes agreed
With all this news stuff They must be wondering too I think of the scene in D&D where both (like Lloyd and buddy) Re" servived by" statement I like the statement "Passed away peacefully"
Re: Jim in Ballistic Missile Scare.I'd forgotten all about that........if you watch the D&D extras on the DVD there's a very funny bit where Jeff is mourning the death of buddy....i was literally in hysterics with laughter.....
Often i find the extras and the cut bits of filming are the funniest for me because usually there are glimpses of the real people behind the characters....i love seeing actors fluff their lines and start giggling. Fluffy

Re: Jim in Ballistic Missile Scare. If we do get close to the EOT it will be Iran, Syria and Russia which cause the kerfuffle.....but the whole world has to turn against Israel and that won't happen, not in our lifetime.....there's just a lot of posturing at the moment but the EOT can last for generations so i truely believe we are ok....for now.

Re: Jim in Ballistic Missile Scare.I'm not sure but i know in the UK you couldn't go to war if you had flat feet, asthma, bad eyesight or a heart murmur. You might also have been in the protected occupations which were required to keep the country running such as tube and bus drivers, bakers, butchers, Dr's, farmers etc. And as a teacher i would have been evacuated to the country with my brood of ducklings to keep them safe and continue their education. I think colour blindness only mattered if you were in the Royal Air Force, i'm not sure though.
