It's great fun being a grandparent....

Postby Canadian Jayne » Wed Jul 29, 2009 5:19 am

I just became a grandma for the 2nd time, last week, ironically she
was born the same day as one of my gr-gr-grandparents.

First girl though,
It's a blast being a grandma, only problem is when I give
my grandson an airplane ride,
I'm dizzy too when I set him down,
so we are both walking in zigzags together, trying not to crash into
each other.

Jim will love it!

Grandpa Jim or Grandpa Jimmy sounds pretty good!
Congrates!

I'm sure Jane will be a great mom...

Postby Canadian Jayne » Wed Jul 29, 2009 3:04 pm

I'm walking around like a peacock,
my baby girl, had a baby girl
au natural, first baby,
that's pretty hard to do (she had pain killers though)

I was terrified she would have the same experience I had,
but she didn't thank goodness,
my first was a C-section, with complications

Jane has the "terrific mom look"

My congratulations to you, too, and to your daughter - that's awesome to have kids, i wish i could have a baby-girl too one day. I wish the mom and the baby to be healthy and happy.

...I just wonder why so many women in the West have to deal with this C-section. I heard, in the USA 50% of births end up with the operation. Why so? because of the average age? or they are afraid of birth pain (what is ridiculous, IMHO)? I could understand it in case of some medical statements when normal birth is dangerous for a mom or a baby, but - 50 %. And why did Jenny have C-section along with a lot of other Hollywood stars?
I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us...very hard to explain why you're mad, even if you're not mad...

March is just around the corner....

Postby Canadian Jayne » Tue Feb 23, 2010 5:06 am

I remember the last month, I ended up wearing my spouse's
jogging pants because nothing fitted me then.

I felt like a blimp, then when the baby was born all I could
say was

"That's great, that's great --- thanks doc!, that's great"
It took me about a year to get back in shape, then I swore
I'd never eat for two again, maybe one and a half since a
baby is smaller than a regular person.
