Hey, the producers has much to do in this as the director.

Depends, Jim has produced movies in the past. But he didn't really do much, it was just through his production company. So I'm not sure if he's a producer in that aspect or another.

Actually he did produce Bruce Almighty and Fun with Dick and Jane, and in both, he could influence more in the creative aspects of the movie.
No the elevator scene (FWDJ) could be possible without him producing, neither could be possible the scene puting and erasing stars while kissing Jennifer Aniston (Bruce Almighty).

Producer isn´t just money, they take lots of decisions, and with the intelligence and Creativity of Jim Carrey, You can count on that for this comedy proyect

what is humorous and what is not...I think it's a natural talent he developed when he was young entertaining his parents, if they laughed he knew he had it, if not he tried again. I think he developed and continues to develope those talents, without laughter we are all quite dull.

I think he's a genius at knowing exactly that..... .....and you can't blame him for being a perfectionist with his craft, i think the media confuse that with attitude.........and as for humour i think you are bang on CJ.....without it life is static and pained.....humour gives us relief and hope........
