Jim Carrey discussion on non-movie related topics or topics which doesn't fit anywhere else...
by Jimenem » Tue Jun 21, 2005 6:02 pm
Another weird topic from yours truly. Just like the Star Wars one. . . What if Jim wrote the Harry Potter books. How would the story be different. Or what if Jim Carrey played Dumbledore in the movies???? (Not knocking Richard Harris he rocks. Michael Gambon on the other hand eeh. . ??) Or what if he played Snape, Lockheart or Quirrel. I personally think he would have been the PERFECT Snape! He's got the whole bad meanie guy thing down to a T.
Like instead of flying on brooms in qudditch. They fly on vaccum cleaners and use a little bird as the snitch instead of the magical ball.
Basically Carreynize Harry Potter!! I'm very curious to see what your creative genius comes up with!

Jim playing Lockhart, LOL, I loved Kenneth Branagh as Lockhart, but I'm sure if Jim played him, it would have been really funny Yeah, or Snape

Maybe a little too farfetched, I can't seem to get people's minds to go there. Oh well it was worth a shot!

With regards to how his characters would be in the movie, if Jim was in it, then none of them would be saying bumbeetuna, alrighty then, or any of the other sayings, because these are characters, and not Jim. none of Jim's characters are the same. It's a nice idea, but people have thought about Jim's characters being in it, and not Jim as a new character...
None of the characters in Harry Potter fit to Jim. He's more wacky style, and Harry Potter isn't.

Which is why this is a "what if" forum. I'm not asking you to base your speculations on real world concepts, just on the limits of your imagination, Oh and count olaf and the grinch weren't very different. They share alot of the same traits. Truman, and Luke Tremble/ Peter.
Anyway thats not the point, This is just supposed to be a weird, fun, 100% speculation forum. Thats all, Thanks.

Sorry if you thought I was being rude . . . There was no rudeness intended with that last post, I was just merely trying to keep the topic alive after your post. I do realize that I souldn't have bashed your opinion and I apologize. Please Forgive me????? (If you could see my face you would see a sad puppydog face with big brown eyes tearing up. and a pouty lip )

I could see Jim, as professor lupin. Very wise, and sincere, and kind and caring. But if Jim played Lupin, Lupin would be a little funnier. . . Funnier is better!!
