Jim Carrey On Kathy Griffin
04 Jun 2017

By Eva Arajo (Web correspondent)

In history, there has always people those who poke fun at the reality of life. That's the job of a comedian. There has never been or will ever be a limit to joke about, not only because it would be unfair but also because of the right of free speech (1st amendment of the U.S.A).

Recently, the comedian Kathy Griffin, created a controversy by posting a photo of a decapitated U.S.A President Donald Trump. Many, including the President himself, didn't like it and have been making their voices hear about it.

At the premiere of his show "I'm Dying Up Here" Jim was asked about his opinion about the whole thing:

"I think it is the job of a comedian to cross the line at all times -- because that line is not real. If you step out into that spotlight and you're doing the crazy things that [Trump is] doing, we're the last line of defence. And really, the comedians are the last voice of truth in this whole thing. It's impossible to get away from it."

Jim was defending Kathy job as a comedian. Even talking about a dream he once had about Trump: "I had a dream the other night I was playing golf with Donald Trump," he recalled. "I was standing beside him with a club in my hand, and I was considering my options when I suddenly woke up. It was one of those dreams where you just want to get back to sleep so you can finish it, you know?"
