I'm Dying up Here - Season 2 Depending On New Ideas

Let's face it. Not all good series are renewed for a following season. Many things happen behind the scenes that most time we don't understand.
But for sure one of the main reason is the TV channels don't give a chance for a show to grow, both in audience and characters.
Showtime, is not one of those channels.
The renewal of "I'm Dying Up Here" for a Season 2, is fully depending on new stories from the writers as Showtime programming president Gary Levine, said to Deadline.com:
"We've hired the core group of writers from last season to spend a few weeks in the (writers) room together to generate some story ideas. We expect them to come back to us at the end of the month with thoughts of where Season 2 could go. With that information we're going to make a decision."
We are hoping the show, in which Jim Carrey is one of the executive producers, gets picked up for a second round of amazing stories.
