Jim's Next "Fun" Project
07 Jun 2003

He's doing it again. Jim Carrey has signed on yet to another project, following the success "Bruce Almighty" (which looks like it can easily break the $150-200 million mark in a month!).

Variety and E! Online reports that the next project Carrey signed on for is the 1977 remake of "Fun With Dick and Jane", originally based on a novel by Gerald Gaiser. The big screen version follows "a cash-strapped upper middle-class couple who become bank robbers to maintain their swanky suburban lifestyle."

Joining Carrey are 2 familiar names; director Barry Sonnenfeld and, returning for the third time, producer Brian Grazer. The female lead for "Jane" has not been cast yet.

Let's do a lil run through of Jimmy's schedule, shall we? Following "Bruce Almighty" is the mind-bending "Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind", scheduled for this December 31. Then he'll take on the role as the evil Count Olaf for the Lemony Snicket book series, scheduled for 2004. And THEN he'll lend his voice to a racoon for "Over The Hedge", scheduled for 2005. Other projects up in the air; His collaboration with Steven Spielberg for the remake of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty", a "Bewitched" remake with Nicole Kidman and finally, the Howard Hughes bio pic, to be directed by Christopher Nolan.
