The first deleted scene from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 shows Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles trying to sneak past Guardian Unit of Nations (GUN) soldiers at the Chao Garden restaurant after Commander Walters� death. To avoid detection, they wear restaurant masks, but one soldier stops them to ask for a selfie.
The humor comes from how obvious it is that Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are under the masks�their bodies are unmistakable. Yet, the soldier doesn�t recognize them and just wants a photo for his kids.

7) Robotnik & Gerald Robotnik Hide From GUN Soldiers
In this deleted scene from Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Ivo Robotnik and Gerald Robotnik infiltrate Guardian Unit of Nations (GUN) headquarters in London, much like Team Sonic. As they sneak through the hallways, they must hide from two soldiers. Though their suits can turn them invisible, their faces remain visible, so they hide behind some flags.
Despite the obvious hiding spot, the GUN soldiers walk right past them, showcasing the same obliviousness seen in the scene with Team Sonic and the selfie. Once the soldiers are gone, Ivo Robotnik and Gerald bicker before moving on down the hallway. Jim Carrey fans will enjoy this scene, as it highlights the comedic dynamic between the two characters.

8) Knuckles vs. Bea Arthur Cake
The third deleted scene from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 appears early in the film, before Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are recruited by the Guardian Unit of Nations (GUN). In this scene, Knuckles excitedly talks to Maddie about his inability to stop eating Sonic's birthday cake. However, he�s puzzled by the image of a woman on it, calling her �a gray-haired wizard.� In reality, it�s a picture of actress Bea Arthur.
This moment is a nod to a joke that did make it into the final cut. When Sonic arrives at his surprise party, he misreads the sign, thinking it says �Happy Bea Arthur Day.� As Maddie explains, the bakery got confused and added a picture of The Golden Girls star to the cake. This joke seems aimed more at adult viewers, which likely explains why it was ultimately cut.
